The Queen Creek Accent Wall and Closet Build

Project Overview

This Queen Creek homeowner wanted to elevate their master suite without a full renovation. The two priorities: a statement accent wall behind the bed and a walk-in closet that actually worked. Taylor Brothers Builders delivered both projects in just two weeks.

What We Did

For the accent wall, we designed and installed a floor-to-ceiling natural wood slat wall behind the bed with integrated LED backlighting that creates a warm, ambient glow. The slats were precision-cut and evenly spaced with clean edges and tight joints throughout. In the walk-in closet, we removed the old wire shelving system and replaced it with a full custom build-out featuring double hanging rods, adjustable shelving, a built-in shoe rack, accessory drawers with soft-close hardware, and a dedicated section for folded items. Everything was built to fit the exact dimensions of the space.

Materials and Finishes

Natural white oak slat wall panels, LED strip backlighting, premium MDF and solid wood closet build-out, soft-close drawer hardware, brushed nickel closet rods, adjustable shelf brackets, and custom shoe rack framing.

The Result

The master bedroom went from plain to stunning with a single accent wall. And the closet finally works the way it should, with a place for everything and nothing wasted.
